Mrs. Encarnacion, a native Houstonian, joined SWAAA in March 2010. She comes to the practice with a years' clinical experience in asthma and allergy.

She completed her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) at Galveston where she graduated with honors in 2008. Prior to entering UTMB, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Ecology from the University of Texas at Austin. She is a certified physician assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, and the Greater Houston Allergy Society.

Dr. Chou received his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and then completed medical school at Baylor College of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Northwestern University. Afterwards, he trained at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for his Allergy/Immunology fellowship.

Dr. Chou is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, Harris County Medical Society, and the Texas Medical Association.
